Registry Mechanic was discontinued on 4 December 2013. This means that you cannot make it work in Windows 8 and I strongly advise you to not use it because you could severely damage Windows installation.
Try using another application of this kind. For example, Tune Up Utilities 2014 is a product compatible with Windows 8 and offers the same features and functions as Registry Mechanic.
My computer is asking me to insert the Dell Picture Studio Image Expert disc but I don't have it. What can I do? I can't work with my PC.

This is a common issue that can be solved if you download and install the Jasc Dell Picture Studio Image Expert patch. Navigate to the official web page, scroll down to the Available formats section, click the Download File button, save the file to your computer and install it following the steps from the Installation instructions section.
I enjoyed this programe and found it useful but my computer malfunctioned and I had to turn back to an earlier restore date which has wiped most of this program off my computer. I cannot download it again as the offer has now ended, nor can I dlete as the programe keeps telling me that key compnents are missing and that I must reinstal the programme again. Can you help?

You can Re-install it again... There's no problem in Re-installing it... But if you face any problem re-installing it then I have a answer which sounds a bit Non-Technical... But it works... Goto program files and remove the entire folder of registry mechanic from your PC... Now clean the entire Registry using C Cleaner... You will find that there are no traces of Registry Mechanic left in your PC... This is because C Cleaner deletes all the Unused Registry Entries... So now you can understand that it works... So don't fear and go for it...
PC Tools, the developer of the product discontinued Registry Mechanic together with all other suite of programs on December 4, 2013. You can't update the application anymore.

You can download the setup from its website and install it... Then enter the license key and your registration name... If this doesn't work then your license and registration name must be having some problem... I know that you have not bought it... So, if you want it then buy it... And if you have bought it, then you can call up the dealer from whom you bought it and ask him for the solution...
